This fun and one of a kind project is a great way to learn fold forming. Guided by their instructor, students will discover the magic of transforming a 2-dimensional piece of a silver sheet into a set of beautiful 3-dimensional leaves, which they will then make into a pair of earrings and a pendant. Using different types of hammers, students will learn how to move the silver in different ways to make their leaves come alive. They will then choose semi-precious stones as accent pieces for their leaves, and will be shown how to add the stones to their earrings and pendants with the addition of bezel cups. Each of the students’ pieces emerge as unique as the individuals who make them. All skill levels are welcome.
With small class sizes, you will have the opportunity for in-depth lessons and one-on-one assistance.
All of the materials and equipment are provided for this class and no experience is necessary. Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, your hair tied back, and no scarves or loose clothing (such as long open sleeves that could pose a safety hazard).
Workshops will not run until sufficient enrollment has been met. We recommend students register at least 10 days before class start dates to avoid disappointment.
The more the merrier! Feel free to spread the word to friends and family as this helps ensure classes will fill to capacity.
