Learn how to make a stunning tension set ring in this one-day workshop! It's much easier than it looks; catering to those who have never picked up a hammer, and yet teaching those with hours of bench time something new.
No torches or soldering needed! During this class, you will learn to manipulate sterling silver so that it can hold a lovely faceted gemstone in place with pressure, rather than a standard soldered setting. You will also be taught how to create a high polished finish on your ring or leave it with a soft satin finish. The end results are beautiful and easy to repeat!
If you have wrist pain due to an injury or condition, we advise that you do not take this class, as it requires a decent amount of wrist strength and bending to manipulate the metal.
All materials and equipment are provided for this class and no experience is necessary. Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, your hair tied back, and no scarves or loose clothing (such as long open sleeves that could pose a safety hazard).
Workshops will not run until sufficient enrolment has been met. We recommend students register at least 10 days before class start dates to avoid disappointment.
The more the merrier! Feel free to spread the word to friends and family as this helps ensure classes will fill to capacity.
