For those of you ready to dive into the experience of jewellery making or wishing to expand your current knowledge, this 8-week program is for you. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of jewellery making, along with a gemmology and stone setting component. At the end of the course, you will have learned how to create your own sterling silver smithed collar necklace with a large bezel set gemstone from SCRATCH!
With small class sizes and the program spread out over eight classes, you will have the opportunity to have in-depth lessons and one-on-one assistance.
All of the materials and equipment are provided and no experience is necessary. Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, your hair tied back and no scarves or loose clothing (such as long open sleeves that could pose a safety hazard).
Workshops will not run until sufficient enrollment has been met. We recommend students register at least 10 days before class start dates to avoid disappointment.
The more the merrier! Feel free to spread the word to friends and family as this helps ensure classes will fill to capacity.
Dates: Mar 10, 17, 24, 31 and Apr 7, 14, 21 & 28 (8 classes)
Time: Evening class from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
(*This cost includes all supplies except the stone for the final project. Students will pay for stones when they select them in class.)
